Case Study – Large File Transfer
Background
Large file transfers across the internet are often a huge challenge for organizations, especially when data needs to be securely transferred across long distances and multiple scattered servers in a short period of time. Without the right toolset, the large file transfer process may face risks of data security, high latency, TCP/IP transmission limitations, data transmission failure, data loss, and inefficient use of bandwidth – all of which costs time and money. In addition to traditional operational large file transfer movements, governments, institutions, and corporations adopting the cloud for data storage has significantly increased the requirement for traffic of large file transfers.
Problem
MASV is a Canadian company specialising in large file transfers (LFT) for clients with an established customer base of film studios and content creators. They transfer large files for their clients using their SaaS LFT protocols, which utilise cloud entry points for customers’ data to enter their cloud based accelerated network. Their main issue is their customers still have “Last Mile” issues ranging from high latency, packet loss or even complete connection drop-outs.
Solution
Using Enigma Net’s Arch Smart Pro router and Accelerated SASE, Enigma Net offers Quality of Service (QOS) overlay and acceleration on full fibre networks mitigating packet loss and jitter that fibre optics have over greater distances thus creating full 1Gbps Bandwidth utilisation per line over the internet and accelerate average download by x20-x60. No competitor offers this service even with a leased line.
Enigma Net is also able to bond up to 8 Lines, and transfer data trans-Atlantic faster than Aspera, Azure & AWS – at less cost. Enigma Net can also implement a service providing Failover & Failback within 2 seconds, to ensure constant connectivity. This unique total solution gives control and measurable business efficiencies to customers.
