Case Study – Esports and Gaming

iRacing Indianopolis

Background

Players and iRacers are always looking for some form of competitive edge. From saving valuable time by adjusting your line, finding grip where others haven’t, making gear changes, wheelbase adjustments, carb tuning etc, drivers are looking for their edge. The quality of a player’s network plays a large part in how good you can get, often splits seconds between the difference of winning or losing, prize money or not.

Problem

If there’s any amount of delay in an individual’s network beyond what is required between driver input and car output, you are immediately losing time and competitiveness.

Solution

By adding Enigma Net to an iRacer’s network and internet connection, a noticeable lap time decrease can be observed consistently through multiple turns. Analysis of some of telemetry of the driver input shows that about 1/10 of a second can be gained across all the turns on the circuit.  This further indicates that the connection delivers a sharper, more direct response to the steering input.  And while that does not sound like much, multiple this by the hundreds and sometimes thousands of laps in a driver’s experience.

Playing better tracks will always be partly due to continuous improvement of skill. But there’s a strong case to be made for the advantages offered by the Enigma router since it’s a consistent change across all the cars, and all the tracks.

If you are an iRacing community member or follower, look for the Enigma logo in upcoming races to find ways to help you improve your times. iRacers always look forward to climbing season ranks and competing with other racing enthusiasts. Give yourself the advantage of Engima Net.
